For my second giveaway, I’m switching gears and giving away a one-month subscription to a daily workout program called the 12-minute metabolism booster! And I will tell you all about the subscription and workouts, but first I need to tell you about the woman who designed them.

Katie Hart Morse is a certified personal trainer with a degree in sports medicine who grew up as a gymnast and soccer player and has completed five Ironmans and 16 half Ironmans. Pretty badass, right? She has a website called The Regimen where she sells her awesome programs, and also offers free workout and motivational videos.

Katie says she created the 12-minute Metabolism Booster because she said she always struggled to do the strength/weight training she knew she needed to do, and wanted to help endurance athletes and other women get that all-important strength training in every day. She also created another program called the Athlete Guide to share the healthy habits she has learned over the years, and I would highly recommend it — it’s different than most other workout or weight loss programs I’ve tried, because it takes a holistic approach to wellness, focusing on self-confidence and overall health, not just how your body looks. Katie is all about the “why,” instead of just the “how.” There’s also a great support and accountability element to it (including live videos where Katie talks about various health-related topics and answers questions), which I defiitely need and greatly appreciate. And she’s working on the Athlete Guide 2.0, which is exciting!

What that means is you’ll get an email every day with a motivational quote, a tip, and a link to that day’s workouts. There is also a different video every week about a pertinent topic, and a challenge for every weekend.

12 minute metabolism booster

The workouts themselves are strength training exercises you can do at home or at the gym. Sometimes you will set a timer for 12 minutes, do a certain number of reps of each exercise, and then repeat until the timer goes off. Other times, you’ll do each exercise as many times as you can for a certain amount of time. And there are GIFs, so you don’t have to figure out the exercises on your own or watch a video while trying to do them! The exercises aren’t easy, but you can choose how heavy of weights you want to use (or use none at all), and can modify some exercises if necessary — like doing pushups on your knees if you can’t do regular ones.
