Sure, you could stick with wine, champagne or beer. But perhaps I could interest you in a cranberry-orange margarita?
It’s really easy to make, and will complement the cranberry sauce that may or may not be taking over your plate. It would also be good with the appetizers you’re snacking on while watching football. Or while cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday. Whatever works!
Cranberry-orange margarita (Makes 1 large drink)
1/2 ounce lime juice
1 ounce tequila
1 ounce cointreau
1 ounce orange juice
6 ounces cranberry juice (cranberry juice cocktail or the sweet 100% juice blended kind, not 100% cranberry juice, which is super tart)
Lime or orange wedges for garnish (optional)
Combine juices and alcohol and ice in a shaker or large cup. Shake or stir well to combine. Pour over more ice to serve.
