Camel + black

Growing up in Phoenix, it was normal for the weather to be warm — like, shorts and tank tops warm — until about Halloween. And Georgia and South Carolina don’t exactly get freezing cold at the end of September, either. But it’s still a little weird for me to see other bloggers posting autumnal outfits when it’s 80 degrees here.

It has been getting chilly at night, though, which gave me an opportunity to wear one of my new fall tops.

I’ve recently become a little obsessed with Boden, a British clothing company that sends out fun catalogues and has a ton of adorable shoes and clothes.

I was obviously already obsessed with Kate Spade, and got this bag when Melissa was here — she has the larger version.

I originally wanted to get this top in one of the white and blue combinations, but since I already have a surfeit of blue-and-white striped tops, I thought this color combo would be fun. I really like how it works with black jeans but would also be cute with a skirt, blazer or dressier pants for work. And it goes perfectly with leopard shoes!

  1. Cute! Today is supposed to be a hot one here in San Diego, but I felt like wearing all black. I’m ready to wear warmer clothes, but the weather doesn’t quite agree with me just yet.

    1. Thanks! I obviously had to have it. Awkwardly, the first time I wore it was to a thing I was covering, and the Marine PAO in charge (who I was meeting for the first time) was wearing the same glasses… on his face.
