July 4th, island style

Aloha, y’all!

I’ve been on vacation for about two weeks now — first at home, hanging with my friend who came to visit, and then in Maui — and while I didn’t really mean to take a two-week blogging break, it just kind of happened. Sorry about that!

The good news is that I’ve been baking, eating, getting dressed in fun clothes every day and taking tons of photos, so I have a lot to share with you! First up, I thought I’d share some photos from the Fourth of July, which we spent in Lahaina, a ridiculously cute town on the west side of Maui.

We obviously came prepared, and I accessorized my mainly blue and white outfit with a red necklace, red lipstick, and red skin.

Of course, nothing beats Toby’s flag pants.

Not even a flight of mini margaritas.

The only fireworks show on the island was nice, despite only lasting about 10 minutes. It’s hard to outdo this spectacular sunset, though.
