As our trek across the country continues, I wanted to share an outfit I wore on a rainy day in DC just before we left. I actually used to hate polka dots — they made me itchy for a year or so after a childhood bout with chicken pox — but I got over it, obviously, and now I love them.
This umbrella was a no-brainer, since it’s University of Georgia colors (Go Dawgs!) AND polka dotted. And the rain boots? Perfect for sloshing to the Metro station and saving my cute but ultimately uncomfortable magenta patent shoes with ivory-and-black striped high heels. Yarrr.

The first thing i thought when i opened this post is, “oh cute, the umbrella is Georgia colors!” And then you went and commented on it, lol. The dress is super cute – the pleats and the polka dots are an awesome combo!
