Super Bowl food

Toby loves football, I love food and we both love having people over. So the Super Bowl really works for us. Last year we were semi-foiled by a major blizzard, but even that worked out OK because if everyone who RSVP’d had shown up, I don’t think we would have had enough room for everyone to fit inside our apartment. And I probably couldn’t have slept through the actual game.

Anyway, I usually start thinking about our Super Bowl menu weeks in advance. Sometimes I base it on where the game is going to be, sometimes I try to base it on the teams playing, and sometimes I just try to figure out the easiest way to make a bunch of food (this usually involves a Crock-Pot). This year I think I am going to mainly go with a Texas theme — a combo of Southern and Tex-Mex. And probably some chili.

In the next week and a half, I will try to post numerous recipes you can use for Super Bowl Sunday. But I also wanted to direct you to some past recipes that are good options. Let me know in the comments what you are planning on making!
